While our van was rolling making its way from one tourist spot to another during our Bohol Countryside Tour I can’t help but notice the beautiful churches that ubiquitously dot the scenery that we were passing through.
Bilar Church
I honestly don’t remember and know most of the churches on this post but during that time I thought that wouldn’t it be a crime not to take at least a bunch of photos of these beautiful churches?
Loboc Church
Albuquerque Church
If you plan to do a Visita Iglesia this coming holy week I tell you you wouldn’t run out of churches to pray at.
Dauis Church
Baclayon Church
I was really amazed and thankful that a good number of churches survived here in Bohol unlike the ravaged Manila during the war.
I definitely want to come back in Bohol and explore its churches hopefully sooner than I wish.
Update: Last October 15, 2013 a magnitude 7.2 earthquake struck the town of Carmen in Bohol these churches are now heavily damaged and some crumbled to the ground. #ProjectBohol is now in place to start surveying the damage and see the possibility or rehabilitation or rebuilding.
first is the dauis church, second is loboc’s, the third one is i think albur’s 😛
